P
ay-Per-Click Advertising
With PPC, you advertise your website in search engines participating in a particular PPC network. You create a brief text ad, and then select a list of keywords which will trigger your ads to be displayed. You control your ad’s position by placing cost-per-click bid amounts on a list of relevant keywords. You determine your price-per-click and pay only when a customer clicks through to your site. PPC ads are usually displayed in an area reserved just above, or beside the search engine’s natural search results. This area usually displays a “Sponsored” label to indicate those results are paid advertisements.
Of all PPC services available, Overture’s Precision Match™ and Google AdWords™ reach over 80% of all active Internet users.
